Paintball gear is important to have and wear. You need to make sure that you use it properly or you could be injured.

Here are a few tips when it comes to paintball gear that you are going to want to follow or else:

• Never, ever, ever take off your mask. It is hard to stress this too much. A paintball can travel up to 280 feet per second. This is definitely enough to blind a person who is hit in the eye. The only time you should ever remove your facial protection is when you are in a designated area where there will not be paintballs flying around.

• Understand your gun – Your gun is one piece of paintball gear that is important to understand. You need to know its capabilities as well as its limitations. The important rule of thumb here is if you do not know this information, ask before you begin to use the gun.

• Shoes should have traction – If you are planning on playing paintball in an area where there is dirt, grass, hills or other like features, you will want to make sure that you get shoes that have a lot of traction. Some people choose to use hiking boots and others use football or soccer cleats.
