Paintball Googles

It is important to clean your paintball goggles every time after you play paintball. The paint, sweat and dirt that gets on the goggles while you play can ruin the thermal coating on the goggles and hurt the integrity of the lens.

Thank goodness it is easy to clean paintball goggles. All you need is water. It is important that you remember that you should never use chemicals to clean the goggles. Chemicals slowly eat away at the thermonuclear coating on the goggles. Over time, this begins to create microscopic cracks that can alter the ability of the lens to stay in one piece if it is hit by a paintball.

Players should rinse off their paintball goggles as soon as they can after a game is over. The longer the paint stays on the goggles, the harder it is to take them off.

One of the best ways to clean paintball goggles is to remove them from the rest of the mask frame and wash them that way. This allows you to wash out any trapped paint that is caught within the crevices of the mask.

Wiping down the goggles with a micro fiber cloth is optimal. You can use the same kinds of wipes you would use for a camera lens or eyeglasses. You should not use something coarse like paper towels. The paintball goggles are sensitive and could be scratched easily.

By caring for your paintball goggles, you are helping to ensure your safety. The goggles must be in good condition in order for you to have optimal visibility as you play.
