Paintball Sniper
Being a paintball sniper is something that many people
consider to be a lot of fun. In this aspect, it varies greatly from
being a sniper in the military. There are also other ways that being
a paintball sniper might not be true to reality, regardless of what
you might like to think while you play. These include:
• The biggest difference between being a paintball sniper and
a military sniper is the complete lack of fear that you – as a
paintballer – can play with. If you are at war and things go wrong,
you could die or be captured. If you are hit playing paintball, all
you do is go to the neutral zone, get a drink of water, clean up and
get ready to go again.
• Paintball offers less time – If you were a military sniper,
you would plan out what you needed to do and take a day to crawl into
position or two hours to line up a shot. Needless to say, things happen
much faster than that for a paintball sniper.
• Being a paintball sniper means that you are much closer to
the action. There really is no long range contact because everybody
has pretty similar weapons with capabilities that are similar as well.
• There is not a lot of homework or intelligence gathering that
takes place in being a paintball sniper. On the other hand, these things
are vital to the survival of a sniper in the military.
It is great to have fun while playing paintball and being a paintball
sniper is one of the most fun parts. But do not trick yourself into
thinking that it is just like in real life. The differences are stark.
